The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers working on the concept of autonomy and the role it plays in political philosophy, with a view to identifying what are the most promising and urgent directions for further inquiry in this area.
Possible topics for papers include (but are not limited to):
Contrasting conceptions of autonomy;
Autonomy and neutrality;
Autonomy as a foundation for liberalism;
Autonomy and feminism;
Autonomy and multiculturalism;
Autonomy and preference-formation;
Meta-ethical foundations of autonomy.
